Walk to the beach. The cottage is so cheerful with pretty murals on the walls and doors. Carlos very quick to respond to questions. Very nice place for a couple.

Carlos’s place was very cute and quaint. Very clean and had all we needed for our stay. Beach chairs were supplied (4) and very comfortable and easy to carry to the beach. The outside porch is very chill as well as fire pit area although we didn’t use it since we stayed at the beach a good portion of our stay. I cannot say enough about it. It’s really a great place to stay. My husband and I plan to come back when in the Norfolk area visiting family.

The location of this adorable rental is ideal for those who like to walk to a lovely sunrise, sleep in a quiet neighborhood, and take advantage of a small outdoor space while having easy access to main roads in and out of Norfolk. The best part is its proximity to the airport. We loved the clean, fresh decor, comfortable bed, extra towels and blankets, washer/dryer, exceptionally well-provisioned kitchen, beach chairs and towels, and outdoor fire though we did not use it during our short stay. There are two coffee options: Keurig with K-cups or 5-cup drip machine with grounds. All of the small and large appliances looked recent. Carlos and Anna were proactive and kind with communication, and generous with opportunities to extend our stay. We also appreciated that they recognized that this was a special occasion for us. Casa del Mar was one of the best provisioned rentals we have stayed in recently - from kitchen to beach and everything in between! We had a wonderful stay. I really cannot think of anything that did not meet our expectations.

We’ve stayed in 70+ AirBnBs and - to-date - this was the coziest, most well-appointed and welcoming one yet. Carlos was super responsive and we had everything we needed and more. We came to Norfolk for a family member’s ceremony and felt comfortable and relaxed the entire time, even after a long trip. Highly recommend and would absolutely come back!

We rented three Airbnb’s in the area; this one and 225 Portview Avenue and 114 D View Avenue #2, and one other. The ones named should take a lesson from this one at 259 Portview whose photos can’t even capture how cute it is, clean, light and airy unlike 114D whose photos don’t show the torn carpet, 22 inch TV, and doors that don’t close all the way. Carlos does not cut corners like the other ones - has great lighting and lamps (isn’t dim and dark like 225 Portview), even has a great little game room and cute yard that our family loved! We flew all the way from california for my son’s wedding and my family who stayed in Carlos’s place were the luckiest ones!

I did a two night stay with two teenagers to check out ODU and it was a more than perfect fit! Very clean, spacious, comfortable, and pleasing to the eyes! The host was helpful with questions I had before the stay and we had everything we needed to have fun, relax, eat well, sleep, and get ready to check out ODU, Norfolk, and Virginia Beach!
